I am currently an independent statistical consultant and mathematics/statistics instructor. I teach at Penn State University World Campus, Thompson Rivers University, and Statistics.com.

Between 2001 and 2008 I worked as an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in the Department of Decision Sciences in the Charles H. Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon.

I obtained my PhD in Statistics at the University of Minnesota in 2001. During my graduate study, I worked as a teaching assistant, research assistant and instructor. I was also a statistical consultant for two summers. During the summer of 2000, I took part in 3M's Information Technology Summer Internship Program in St. Paul. In the summer of 2001, I worked in the Statistical Consulting Clinic at the University of Minnesota.

Between 1993 and 1996, I was an Assistant Statistician (in the UK Civil Service Fast Stream) at the Department of the Environment, now known as the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, London, UK. I worked on Local Government Finance and on Environmental Protection.

Prior to spending a year traveling and working my way around the world in 1992/93, from 1989 to 1992 I completed a Bachelor's degree in economics and statistics at the University of Birmingham, UK.
